Zendaya is set to star in director Denis Villeneuve’s newly announced science-fiction epic, Eclipse of Asteron, an original film described as a “psychological space odyssey.” The project marks their third collaboration after the success of the Dune franchise. According to early reports, Zendaya will portray a scientist trapped on a collapsing planet where time folds in on itself. Villeneuve, known for visually striking sci-fi masterpieces, has been developing the concept for nearly five years. Production is expected to begin in spring 2026 with filming locations rumored to include Iceland and Jordan.
