Mirai, also referred to as Mirāi: Super Yodha, is a Telugu‑language fantasy action‑adventure film written and directed by Karthik Gattamneni. It’s produced under the banner of People Media Factory.
The movie features an ensemble cast including Teja Sajja as the lead hero, Manchu Manoj in the antagonist role, Ritika Nayak as the female lead, and supporting roles by Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram. The music is composed by Gowra Hari.
The story is set in a mythological‑futuristic universe. The plot revolves around nine sacred ancient scriptures from Emperor Ashoka’s era, which hold divine power—these scriptures can elevate mortals into god‑like beings. They are protected by a secret warrior clan called the Yodhas. Against this backdrop rises the villainous group known as “Black Sword,” led by Mahabir Lama, who seek to acquire the scriptures to unleash darkness.
Teja Sajja’s character, Vedha Prajapati, discovers that he is destined to wield the legendary staff named Mirai, a divine weapon, and take on the responsibility of preserving the scriptures and stopping Black Sword’s destructive spree. Along the journey, there are battles between good and evil, intense action, mythic symbolism, and visual effects meant to bring this epic fantasy world to life.
The film was made with a budget of roughly ₹60 crore. It is being released worldwide across multiple languages and in both 2D and 3D formats, making it a pan‑India event. The theatrical release date is September 12, 2025. It has also secured a distribution deal for various regions, ensuring it will be screened broadly across the country.
